FN311 Financial Management
This course is intended to provide intermediate-level financial management theory and its applications to real-world problems. Lectures, readings, and assignments will enhance students’ understanding of discounted cash flow techniques, valuation of stocks and bonds, capital budgeting principles, dividend and payout policy, optimal capital structure, working capital management, raising capital through IPOs, and finally a market for corporate control through mergers and acquisitions. Students will also be introduced to seminal research papers pertinent to each topic.

interim reporting; linkage between financial statement items; effects of
accounting choices; tools and techniques for an analysis of financial statement
and other financial reporting.
