The course will analyse in depth the dynamics of British foreign policy in terms of its history, actors and issues. It will focus in particular on the policy of British governments, giving an historical analysis of the main developments in their relationship with the wider world. The course will conclude by assessing Britain's changing role and direction in world affairs as it entered the new millennium.
